Nora Hughes grew up in Belfast. In the 1970s she moved to London, where she worked as a language and literacy teacher for many years. Her poems have appeared in magazines and anthologies, including The North, Envoi, Second Light, The Interpreter’s House, The Book of Love and Loss (Belgrave Press, 2014) and Further Than It Looks: Poems About Mountains (Grey Hen Press 2019).
