Lesley Burt retired in 2008 from a career in social work and social work education.

 Her poetry has been published in magazines including Tears in the Fence, Prole, SLQ and Dreich, and online, including by The Blue Nib, The High Window, Ink, Sweat and Tears and Poetry Kit.

 She is a long-standing member of the Tears in the Fence Festival and Workshop groups.

 She lives in Dorset.
