Ruth Sharman is a freelance French translator living in Bath. She has published two previous poetry collections – Birth of the Owl Butterflies (Picador) and Scarlet Tiger, winner of Templar’s 2016 Straid Collection Award, of which Wendy Klein writes “I have seldom been so reluctant to put a book down.”
