These poems explore the nature of the mind, from perspectives of wakefulness, sleep and somewhere in between. As Mind Imagines World is an entrancing kaleidoscope of closely-observed illusions and delusions, intimately depicted with character, colour and form.
Dawn Wood was born in Omagh, County Tyrone and moved to Dundee in 1986. Her academic background is in science education and she is part-time tutor in Postgraduate Medical Education at University of Dundee, as well as working as a hypnotherapist, artist and poet. Dawn’s previous poetry collections published by Templar Poetry are Quarry, (2008, shortlisted for the Aldeburgh First Collection Prize), Ingathering (2013), Declaration (2016).
