We are delighted to open our 2018 Templar Poetry Live series at Keats House on Wednesday 21st February.
Seán Martin was born in Somerset, lived for many years in London before becoming a freelance writer. He is now based in Edinburgh. His non-fiction books, include The Knights Templar: The History and Myths of the Legendary Military Order, The Cathars: The Rise and Fall of the Great Heresy, and The Gnostics: The First Christian Heretics.
He has written on new wave cinema and co-directed the documentaries Lanterna Magicka: Bill Douglas & the Secret History of Cinema, A Boat Retold, and the feature films The Notebooks of Cornelius Crow and Folie à Deux. He won the 2011 Wigtown Poetry Competition.
The Girl Who Got onto the Ferry in Citizen Kane won a Templar Portfolio Award in 2017.
