Chrysalis by Erin Halliday was one of the winning submissions to the 2012 Templar Pamphlet and Collection Awards and was launched at the sixth Derwent Poetry Festival in Masson Mills, Derbyshire in November 2012.
Erin Halliday was born in Belfast in 1982 and studied English and Classical Studies at Queen’s University, also taking her MA in Creative Writing there in 2004.
After a brief career in horticulture she returned to Queen’s to complete a PhD in Creative Writing: Poetry, for which she researched aspects of ‘flux’ at work in Latin poetry of the Augustan Age, and modern translations of such. She now lives in County Down.
