Laurence O'Dwyer is an Irish writer and scholar. He holds a PhD in paradigms of memory formation from Trinity College Dublin. He has won a number of awards including a Hennessy New Irish Writing Award and the Patrick Kavanagh Award for Poetry. He was a research fellow at Goethe University and the Donders Center for Cognitive Neuroimaging. He has been awarded poetry fellowships from The MacDowell Colony and The Rensing Center. He has also been a visiting scholar at the Scott Polar Research Institute at the University of Cambridge. His work has been published in The Guardian, Warscapes, Salamander and Mudlark.
