Waiting to Tango by Victor Tapner is the winner of the 2015 Templar Straid Collection Award

The collection was launched at Keats House on Tuesday 26th January at the first Templar Poetry Live event alongside the launch of the Templar Pamphlet Staying in Touch by Oliver Comins. 

 

Victor Tapner’s first full-length collection Flatlands (Salt) was shortlisted for the Seamus Heaney Centre Poetry Prize and won the East Anglian Book Award for Poetry. His chapbook Banquet in the Hall of Happiness won the Munster Literature Centre’s Fool for Poetry competition. Among other honours, he has won the Cardiff International Poetry Competition and Scotland’s Wigtown prize. He has also written a political thriller Cold Rain (Grafton), and holds an MA in Writing from the University of Glamorgan (now the University of South Wales). A full-time writer, he was previously a Financial Times journalist. He lives in Essex.
