He is also known for his pioneering ecological poetry installations within natural landscapes and the creation of ‘slow poetry’ sculptures and I-Cast poetry films. David’s creative writing podcasts are among the most popular literature downloads on iTunes worldwide. He writes essays, criticism and reviews for The Guardian and Poetry Review. He is Professor of Creative Writing at Warwick University and winner of a National Teaching Fellowship. David is the author of The Cambridge Introduction to Creative Writing which has been translated into many languages including Arabic, and co-editor with the Australian poet Philip Neilsen of The Cambridge Companion to Creative Writing.
